[2] Air Force, police and fire service personnel have recovered the debris of a warplane of World War II while digging a pond in Lalmonirhat. Several bullets were also recovered at the time. Members of the Air Force, police and fire service conducted the operation at Guriyadaha village in Gokunda union of Sadar upazila yesterday at noon. They claimed, it is the wreckage of World War II warplane. Earlier on Friday (October 16) afternoon, it was recovered while they were digging Rezaul’s pond in Gudiyadaha Dararapar village of Gokunda union, reports Jago News 24.com. [3] Police and locals said Rezaul of Dararpar village in Guriadah started digging a pond on his land. At one point on Friday afternoon, workers saw the back of the wreckage plane.
According to the locals, the Sadar Police went to the spot and seized the place and stopped the excavation. The police sent news to the concerned offices. [4] Witnesses claimed that the pilot’s ring and some ammunition were recovered from the plane.
