M Humayun Kabir of DOT : BNP acting Chairman Tarique Rahman conducted interviews of the party’s nomination seekers for the 11th parliamentary election through a video conference.

Parliamentary board of BNP yesterday started the interview session at Khaleda’s Gulshan office in Dhaka around 9:10am with the nomination-seekers of Panchagarh-1 constituency.
The board members picked candidates for Rangpur and Rajshahi divisions yesterday.
It will sit with the aspirants from Barisal and Khulna divisions on November 19; those from Chattogram, Cumilla and Sylhet divisions on November 20 and those from Mymensingh, Faridpur and Dhaka divisions on November 21.
The BNP standing committee, at a meeting on Friday night, decided that no standing committee member would contest from more than one constituency.
As many as 4,580 BNP aspirants collected nomination forms of BNP in the five days since Monday. In the 2008 election, 3,186 BNP hopefuls collected nomination forms.
The main political opposition started selling nomination papers among the aspirants from its Nayapaltan headquarters since November 12.
The 11th national polls is scheduled to be held on December 30.
All the standing committee members including Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, Moudud Ahmed, Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain and Jamir Uddin Sircar were among the parliamentary board members.
The authorities have fixed November 28 as the deadline for filing nomination papers, December 2 for scrutiny and December 9 last date of withdrawal.
