22-month old Amrin has been suffering from fever for the last four-five days. Diagnostic tests like IgM & IgG were conducted at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) to confirm dengue, reports jagonews24.com. The family of the patient went to the Dengue Cell of the hospital to receive the test report. However, NS1 Antigen test reports was delivered instead of IgM and IgG from the cell.
The patient’s name, age, date and sex- nothing has been mentioned in the delivered report signed by the medical technologist and the clinical pathologist of the laboratory medicine department of the hospital.
The relatives of the dengue patients are now gravely concerned due to the wrong test reports delivered from the dengue cell of the hospital.
Apart from Amrin, several other reports were delivered where there was no mention of the patient’s name, age, sex and date.
Three-year old Humaira is also the victim of the same incident.
Yunus Khan, father of the daughter said that how could he be sure that it was his daughter’s report.
Incensed, he tore up the report.
The same thing happened to Sreya. Asadullah, father of the girl said that he received report without any mention of the patient’s identity.
