[2] The best Bangalee in thousands of years’ history and world-renowned leader Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was born in the traditional Sheikh family of Tungipara on March 17, 1920.
[3] Mayor of Tungipara Municipality Sheikh Ahmed Hossain Mirza said, “No contemporary of Bangabandhu is alive now. That is why most of the statements that are available about Bangabandhu now have differences than reality.” [4] Reacting to the memory of Bangabandhu’s childhood, 110 aged Abdul Hamid Sheikh said, “Once a classmate of his in the school could not give the homework and was beaten by the class teacher. Later, the student said that he could not remember lessons sitting at home because he did not have book. It hurt the mind of the child Mujib. He later gave his books to thelat student.”[5] Bangabandhu’s uncle, Sheikh Kabir Hossain told Jago News, “He used to eat the food by sharing with all after playing with his same age friends in childhood.”
[6] Gopalganj district CBB President Principal Abu Hossain told Jago News, “While being a student of Mission School, Bangabandhu formed Muslim Service Association under the inspiration of his teacher Abdul Hamid.”
