BSS: State Minister for Planning Prof Shamsul Alam has said the government has adopted a long-term plan for the country’s balanced development and made it integrated to the fourth industrial revolution (4IR).
“Already, many of the developments have become visible,” he said while inaugurating a two-day long international conference at Rajshahi University (RU) today as chief guest. RU Science Faculty is hosting the conference titled “The Role of Science and Technology Towards 4IR” at Senate Building with participation of around 250 university teachers, researchers and post-graduate students. Prof Shamsul Alam said Smart Bangladesh is being implemented from digital Bangladesh under the prudent and visionary leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. As a result, Bangladesh will be elevated to the line of the developed countries by 2041.
Vice-chancellor (VC) Prof Golam Sabbir Sattar, Pro-VCs Prof Sultan-Ul-Islam and Prof Humayun Kabir also spoke with Science Faculty Dean Prof Shahed Zaman in the chair.
