Desk Report: Ejaj completed the MBBS from Rangpur Medical College in 1984 and post-graduation in Nuclear Medicine from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University in 1989
Popular Bangladeshi television and film actor Ejajul Islam, who is also a physician by profession, has recently been promoted as Head of Nuclear Medicine Department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
Many co-stars and colleagues of his in the media industry have been congratulating the national award winning actor on his recent promotion through Facebook since September 3.
On September 4 Ejajul Islam confirmed the news and told several media outlets that the he always wanted to continue teaching and is very happy that he has been promoted along that track.
He also informed that he became an assistant professor about nine months ago, and was raised to the rank of associate professor a few days later. And now has been made the departmental head of nuclear medicine department.
Ejaj completed the MBBS from Rangpur Medical College in 1984 and post-graduation in Nuclear Medicine from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University in 1989.
The popular “doctor to the poor” was introduced to the acting arena by the famous author and director Humayun Ahmed in a TV drama titled “Shobuj Shathi” and instantly gained immense popularity.
The actor received the National Award in best supporting actor category for his role in the film “Taarkata.”
Dr Ejaj is currently busy with seven TV dramas airing in different television channels along with his life as a doctor and a teacher of nuclear medicine.
