[2] The candidates nominated by Bangladesh Awami League and Bangladesh Nationalist Party have started electoral campaigns after allocation of electoral symbols for Dhaka-18 by-polls, reported Naya Diganta, Somoy TV. During the mass-contact, the candidates are seeking votes with different types of assurances.
[3] AL-nominated candidate Habib Hasan flanked by a huge number of followers began his mass-contact from Uttarkhan Mosque in the capital after Jumma prayers yesterday.
[4] Meanwhile, the BNP-nominated candidate SM Jahangir Hossain began his electioneering from No.1 Raod mosque under Sector No. 7 of Uttara in the capital yesterday.
[5] BNP Chairperson’s advisor Aman Ullah Aman participated in the mass-contact.
[6] Dhaka-18 constituency fell vacant following the death of AL’s Presidium Member and former Home Minister Sahara Khatun.
[7] BNP-nominated candidate SM Jahangir Hossain said that the movement to restore democracy would start from Dhaka-18 by-polls.
