Rear Admiral Riazuddin Ahmed appointed as Advisor of Summit Oil and Shipping

Rear Admiral Riazuddin Ahmed, OSP, BSP, ndu, afwc, psc (retd.) has joined as the Advisor of Summit Oil and Shipping Company Limited (SOSCL) from this month. Summit Oil and Shipping is nation’s leading fuel importer, distributor, storage service provider and marine distributor.
Prior to joining Summit, he held important positions such as Director Purchase (Navy) in DGDP, Managing Director of Khulna Shipyard Ltd, Chairman of Chittagong Port Authority (CPA) and Chairman of Mongla Port Authority among others. He spearheaded the first PPP project under the Ministry of Shipping while serving as the Chairman of Mongla Port Authority. He is a graduate of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering Department from BUET.
On his appointment as the Advisor of Summit Oil and Shipping he said, “I am proud to be a member of Summit Group which is the first local private partner of government to supply LNG, has commendable footprints in efforts towards achieving National Energy Security and hence the SDG-7 (Clean & Affordable Energy for All).”
