You Tube What Does Humans Taste Like?
Humans are made out of a lot of edible things. The meat on an average human body contains 77,000 dietary calories worth of nutritional energy. Cannibalism is a major taboo.
Some Previous Experiments:
Humans are not something to put on a plate but that has happened. In times of famine as a last resort people induced themselves into cannibalism. In 1980s artist Gibson publicly ate human tonsils and other donated human parts in London and Canada. Also 2006 witnessed artist Marco cook and can meatballs prepared with his body fat, removed by liposuction. Dutch TV presenter Dennis Storm and Valerio Zeno cooked and ate pieces of each other on a TV in 2011 whose title meant ‘Guinea Pigs’ because they survived and claimed they didn’t do anything illegal. A year later a Japanese man in his tweet said that five diners agreed to his offer and on April 13th, 2012, they were served a $250 per plate meal prepared with his genitals. A much grosser event occurred in 2001, a man named Armin Meiwes killed and ate a volunteer he saw on the now obsolete Cannibal Café. Although his meal consented in this doing but Meiwes was convicted of murder and now he is a vegetarian fulfilling his punishment of a life-sentence in prison.
A Vivid Review:
So what does human flesh taste like? The late William Seabrook interviewed members of Gear tribe, this tribe was cannibal but William didn’t like their description on the taste of human flesh. So returning to Paris he cut a deal with an intern at the Sorbonne and obtained a piece of human meat of a person who was quite healthy until he died in an accident. So he cooked and reviewed it saying, ‘it was good, fully developed veal. Not young but not yet beef. It was mild, good meat with no other sharply defined or highly characteristic tastes, such as, goat, high game and pork. The steak was slightly tougher than prime veal, a little stringy, but not too tough or stringy to be agreeably edible. The roast from which I cut and ate a central slice, was tender and in color, texture, smell as well as taste strengthened my certainty that of all the meals we habitually know, veal is the one meal to which at this meat is accurately comparable.’ He never leak out the recipe.
We Are Cannibals:
Of course the flavor of human meat is gross but in a passive way we are actually cannibals. Our taste buds are in contact with our mouth almost constantly. Well, we know it’s not actually cannibalism because our mouth contains the tongue but what if it is? Our bodies are constantly swallowing our own mucus digesting pieces of our bodies like dead cells from our tongue and cheek. But we don’t need to be disheartened because about every three months or so we swallow and digest our own body weight worth of us meaning every day we are a little more than one percent of the auroboros, the snake who eats its own tail. We are what we eat but we are also a thing that we eat.
