[2] North South University authorities promised to implement the protesters’ demands by October 22. Although the proposal was sent by SMS to the students’ mobile phones on Monday, the protesters were not satisfied with it. They announced to continue the movement if they dont get specific assurance to implement the demand. For this reason, the vice chancellor of the university has sat in an emergency meeting with the teachers.[3] Students of North South University have been protesting for two days demanding six points.
A text message was sent by the university authorities via mobile SMS when the students’ sit-in program started for the second day on yesterday afternoon.
[4] It is mentioned that, “you leave the movement and go back home. Your demand will be implemented by October 22”. However, the students are continuing the movement as they are not convinced yet.
[5] The protesters said, “we will not return from the movement with the assurance of the university. Our semester exams are scheduled to start from October 22. Even if our demands are not implemented, it will not be possible to join the movement. The students said they would not leave the movement and return home without specific proposals”.
