Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Rashed Khan Menon has revealed positive feedback from the UK government over the recent steps taken by the government relating to aviation security.
Menon was talking to reporters after a meeting with the visiting US delegation from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) at his ministry on Thursday.
The DHS officials have been working on enhancing the aviation security system in the airports. Menon was hopeful that once their work is done, the country will be over its problems in the field of aviation security.
He said things would improve further once Bangladesh starts following its own work plan and timeline on the issue. “At present, we are working on the observation of USA over airport security,” the minister added. Every country in the world including USA is concerned over airport security, he said.
