Awami League government’s second-term will be expiring soon. Hence, considering the upcoming 11th National Parliamentary Election they are very much determine to bring home the Tista Deal by then. Internal water distribution framework for Tista River has been finalized. The Ministry of Water Resource is ready for pitching, said the Minister Anisul Islam Mahmud at the Parliament meeting yesterday.

Source from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed that, Indian External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj will be visiting Dhaka late this month. The Tista Deal will be discussed again based on the agreement between PMs of both countries.

Though Chief Minister of West Bengal Mamata Banerjee still have shown any sign of support. Central government is giving this issue their upmost importance, informs Indian High Commissioner Harsh Vardhan Shringla.

Awami League believes that finalizing this deal, sure will ensure solid supporters in the upcoming election. Modi has also assured Sheikh Hasina of his full support.
