The Virtual World

The virtual world gives us the pivotal platform to share our thoughts or becomean inspiration for others. We also get acquainted withthe struggles that one faces in different phases of theirlife. I, personally love reading inspirational stories and find it very motivating. The virtual world has, personally, taught me how to relate to others which never comes from me instinctively. It has evolved me more as a person.
On the contrary, there is a dark side too. There are times that I scroll my Facebook page,relentlessly- trying to find a solution to my problems from the virtual world itself.
While there are others who prefer to vent their anger on social media through impetuous outbursts; but the question is- has such an approach really helped anyone? Instead, sitting down, and having an evocative chat can often solve the problems.
The other problem lies in how we, unknowingly, are becoming a product these days-just scroll through any Face book page and see how we are making impulsive purchases by the click of a button- often things that we do not even need- ranging from makeup, clothes to jewelleries.
I am also guilty of because spending too much time in the virtual world. We often become so comfortable socialising online that we lose the aptitude to socialise off-line. Chats over a cup of tea are replaced by chats via messenger.
At the end of the day, we should realise that happiness lies in our real world friends and families. If you want to be happy, create your own support system, have some crazy friends who may throw you in the drain for fun. But if anyone laughs at your condition, your friends will not think twice to tell them off, friends would be there for you through thick and thin.
