MA Hafiz Khan
Mehedi Hasan : President of Sushas honer Jonno Nagorik (Sujon) MA Hafiz Khan, mentioning ways to get rid of unwanted jams and extortions of the Dhaka-Chattagram highway, said our country lacks rule of law. While the highway is already a four-lane one, authorities concerned should already have considered building flyovers over there. Police on the highways get involved in extortions ahead of Ramadan, resulting in a price hike to everyday commodities as well as increased traffic jams on the highways. It was the government’s duty to ensure normal lives being less hampered from these. Instead, they are planning to build flyover on the Dhaka-Chattagram highway now. Proper planning would ensure all that facilities required with the Jamuna bridge and the four-lane highway being constructed. Now the constructions have been completed and despite that, many are already suffering of the poor road and traffic conditions, specially while travelling through the Feni portion of the highway. These are clear indications that the authorities concerned along with the government lack of proper planning and insight. Those, who do not plan and work timely, should be punished, added Hafiz Khan.
