DOT Desk: BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir yesterday alleged that “the fascist government” shot dead Shaon Mahmud during yesterday’s peaceful programme marking BNP’s 44th founding anniversary.
Fakhrul said this while visiting deceased Shaon’s house in Nabinagar area of Narayanganj Sadar upazila yesterday afternoon, reports The Daily Star.
“Shaon’s sacrifice will further strengthen the democracy of this country,” he added.
Clashes between police and activists of BNP left one dead in Narayanganj and over 200 others injured in six districts yesterday.
