Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU) leaders take charge of their positions through the induction program today, reports Dhaka Tribune.
The schedule for the debut program of newly-elected leaders of the DUCSU and hall unions also announce today.
Sir AF Rahman Hall Provost AKM Saiful Islam Khan confirmed the matter yesterday.
According to the hall provost, the provost standing committee will meet at 7:30pm today, with DU Vice-Chancellor (VC) Prof M Akhtaruzzaman.
After the meeting of the 18 hall provosts, the committee will announce the schedule of the induction program through which the new DUCSU leaders will take charge of their positions.
Nurul Haque Nur, candidate from Quota Reformists’ Panel Bangladesh as well as Sadharan Chhatra Adhikar Sangrakkhan Parishad (BSCASP), was elected as vice president of DUCSU and Chhatra League candidate Golam Rabbani was elected general secretary.
This is the first time in the history of the DUCSU polls that the ruling party’s student wing bagged most of the posts in the polls.
