[5] Shakib, who played for Gemcon Khulna in the tournament, went back to the USA to attend his ailing father-in-law and as a result missed the final. The all-rounder has returned home on Sunday after spending a few days with the family after his father-in-law’s demise.

[6] It is mentioned befor that Shakib played nine matches in the Bangabandhu T20 Cup but his bat never smiled. His performance with the ball was okay but not great by his standard. There has been a lot of speculation regarding his form since and he will try his best to make amends in the series against the West Indies.
