
Russian Centre for Open Education begins journey at Dhaka University

NB: The official journey of the Russian Centre for Open Education began on Thursday at Dhaka University.
The Russian Centre for Open Education was officially launched at the Institute of Modern Languages of Dhaka University under the management of Dagestan State Pedagogical University with the support of the Russian House of Dhaka.
Vice-Chancellor of the University of Dhaka, Professor Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman inaugurated the centre as the chief guest while a discussion meeting was held in the auditorium of the institute.
Professor Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman said that this centre will play an important role in helping students learn Russian language and culture along with their mother tongue.
Mentioning the relation between Bangladesh and Russia as a friendly relations for a long time, he said Russia is making important contributions in various sectors, including education and the socio-economic development of Bangladesh. This centre will further strengthen the friendly relations between the two countries in all fields, including education and culture.Director of Russian House in Dhaka Pavel Dvoychenkov said in his speech that since the beginning of relations between Russia and Bangladesh in 1971, when the then Soviet Union supported the Bengali independence struggle, there has been an eternal mutual bond and sympathy between our countries. Currently, human relations between the two countries are growing through bilateral activities such as art, cinema, photography, music and dance performances, educational exchanges, support projects for learning Russian, and more.
Similarly, the Russian House in Dhaka is providing opportunities to learn Russian by increasing the enrollment capacity in language courses. To further this effort, the Institute of Modern Languages of Dhaka University and the Russian Center for Open Education in Dhaka, Dagestan State Pedagogical University, officially launched today.Learning Russian will not only help to learn the language but also help to get scholarships from the Russian government, as well as to give a deeper.
