M Humayun Kabir: Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) announced that vehicular movement would remain off-limits on the roads adjoining Suhrawardy Udyan in the  capital today due to a public reception programme for Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Ruling Awami League is arranging the reception programme for Sheikh Hasina for being conferred with Doctor of Literature (DLitt) degree from Kazi Nazrul University (KNU) of India, reports The Daily Star. The reception programme will begin at 3:00pm. DMP, in a statement published yesterday, said that the roads from Shahbagh intersection to Matsya Bhaban and TSC to Doel Chattar will remain off-limits from 1:00pm till end of the reception programme.
