This Saturday (November 25), the nation is set to celebrate UNESCO’s recognition of the Nation Father Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s 7 march speech. While addressing a press briefing at the conference room of the cabinet division on Friday, Cabinet Secretary Mohammad Shafiul Alam confirmed the movement. Honoring the celebration, the 64 districts and their upazilas will also arrange jubilant processions, essay and quiz competitions and screening of films on the Liberation War by respective organizations and educational institutes. Bangladeshi Mission in the abroad will hold similar activities as well. The day long celebration will start at 12pm saturday placing wreaths at the portrait of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at the Bangabandhu Residence located at Dhanmondi-32. Later a procession will move toward The Suhrawardy Udyan in a befitting manner where the 7 March speech was delivered. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is supposed to deliver a speech to the grand rally as the chief guest.Civil Authorities and intelligence agencies are prepared to take necessary measurements to maintain order countrywide. The 7 march speech given by the Father of the Nation received UNESCO’s recognition at the UNESCO Headquarters in Paris on October 30.
