Stay Fit With Reaz Fiem Ramadan And Health!
Undoubtedly the month of Ramadan is the most blessed month of the year. This month was bestowed upon us Muslims so that we can train ourselves discipline for a month, which we are supposed to follow for the rest of the year. Saying that let us concentrate how we can use the principles of Ramadan to our advantage so that we do not have to compromise our health concern. Some of my top rated tips to stay healthy in Ramadan are the followings.
1. Eating cleaner than usual: in the month of Ramadan we stay fasted more than we do usually. On a regular day most of us only remain fasted from dinner to breakfast that too in our sleep. In case of Ramadan the fasted period is much longer. Thus we should not stress our digestive system with all those oily and artificially sweetened junk after breaking the fast. Rather eat meals high in non-refined carbohydrate, low in good fat along with a good protein source. I promise, you will be able to avoid the energy crash that majority face after every Iftar. Do drink a lot of water to stay hydrated.
2. Getting the right amount of sleep: now this is one area we should consider with great dedication. During the month of Ramadan, many of us practice a very poor sleep cycle. That is we tend to stay up all the night till Suhurand then we go to sleep immediately after the meal. Then next day we are all tired and blaming it on Ramadan! Rather try this, after your night prayers, try to sleep early and wake up during suhur really fresh! Eat your meal then say your prayers and then again go to sleep for some hours, before you finally wake up for the day.
3. Don’t quit your workout sessions:those who train should not discontinue in this month. In my opinion you should change the pattern and timing rather. The best would be to focus on full body workout sessions with less or least cardio. The best time to train would be a time before you break your fast. Also water intake should increase for the lifters.
4. Eat at home: Well I guess we all know that how desperate the restaurants will be to maximize profit at this time of the year. They will try to sell all sorts of crap with flashy advertisement, avoid them! Rather enjoy delicious iftar with family, with home cooked food. Try out new healthy recipes at home with fresh ingredients and stay delighted!
5. Follow the principles of Ramadan: last but the most important tip! We should completely keep ourselves away from all the misdeeds. We should keep our mind clean and healthy by not thinking, talking or suggesting bad. Remember a healthy mindset is the corner stone of healthy lifestyle and eventually that healthy physique.
