Abrar Hussain: The Election Commission has announced in the election schedule yesterday that the city corporation elections for Rajshahi, Sylhet and Barisal will be held on July 30.
According to the election schedule, the last date for filing nominations is June 28 and withdrawing July 9. The nominations will be scrutinized through July 1 and 2, reports The Daily Star.
The decision was made at an Election Commission meeting, headed by Chief  Election Commissioner KM Nurul Huda, the EC’s Acting Secretary Helal Uddin Ahmed told reporters.
He also spoke of experimental implementation of Electronic Voting Method (EVM) at several voting stations during the three city corporation elections.
