The government has been administrating the prices of Heart-Rings used in open-heart surgeries for the patients with acute heart conditions. But this had been cutting short the capital for hospitals. Therefore 4 biggest private hospitals Square, Lab Aid, United & Apolo, are conjoining in the task to control & increase the prices for the heart-rings in future. Though hospitals do not possess power to over-charge for heart-rings. These greedy private hospitals are already snatching away enough, from the helpless patients strategically. By over-charging for admission, Cath lab, tests, medicines and other aspects of a heart surgery. Mentioned hospitals are charging 75% more than public hospitals. Recently Journalist Anisur Rahman had a heart-surgery in Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Medical College. That costed him in total 2.5 lacs for 5 days. While, the patients in private hospitals have to deal with charges as high as 3.5 lacs minimum, for similar situations in private medicals. While trying contact with related government administrations, most could not be contacted. Even the source wanted to stay anonymous. Two high-level administrative person mentioned that, Honorable PM has signed a deal with India about importing cheaper heart-rings from them. Traditionally heart-rings are bought from America. Also, this led private hospitals to demand of increasing their service charge. But, the government have and always strong stance against random private hospital wishes.
