Abrar Hussain: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has taken responsibility for the treatment of noted lyricist, composer and music director Ahmed Imtiaz Bulbul, said ICT State Minister Junaid Ahmed Palak on Wednesday night.
The premier is informed about the sickness of the legendary lyricist, said Palak.She came to know about the matter from a Facebook post by Bulbul.
After enquiring everything regarding this, she has willingly taken the responsibility of Bulbul’s treatment, added the ICT minister. Earlier that day, Ahmed Imtiaz Bulbul announced that he has been diagnosed with eight blocks in his heart, which cannot be cure without undergoing a bypass surgery. He made the announcement on a status posted on his Facebook account, reports The Daily Star.“Now I have become diseased, due to staying under ‘a house arrest’ over six years”.
However, he assured that he will be ready to undergo a surgery within the next ten days. As news of the music director’s medical condition spread, people from the nation’s music realm, especially his fan base, took to Facebook to express their sorrow, wishing the music maestro of an early recovery.
