Official inauguration of ‘Bir Pratik Gazi Bridge’ to be held today at Narayanganj

 PM Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the bridge through a video conference. Due to this bridge, the image of the whole Rupganj is changing.  Textile and Jute Minister Golam Dastagir Gazi Bir Pratik has thanked Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader for constructing a bridge over the Shitalakshya River to fulfill the long-cherished dream of the people of Rupganj. He said, ‘Gazi Bridge, the symbol of heroism, is a milestone in the development of the Awami League government. Due to this bridge the socio-economic condition of the area will improve. Besides, the distance of Rupganj with the capital will be reduced.  The bridge was built at the behest of Textiles and Jute Minister Golam Dastagir Gazi.
There are three more bridges over the Shitalakshya river, namely Kachpur Bridge, Kanchan Bridge and Sultana Kamal Bridge. A large population lives in this area. There are also factories. Now that the bridge is open, the pressure on other bridges will decrease. It will be easier to supply goods to different places of the country including Dhaka.
According to the locals, the newly constructed Bir Pratik Gazi Bridge over the Shitalaksha River has opened new doors of potential for the region in terms of socio-economic development and communication system of Rupganj Upazila. With the improvement of communication system, the socio-economic status and livelihood of millions of people in the entire region including trade and commerce, agriculture, education, medicine is having a positive impact. ‘
Tofail Ahmed Almach, chairman of Murapara Union Parishad, a local resident, said, “The bridge has been built with the dedicated efforts of local MP Golam Dastagir Ghazi.”
Mohammad Jahed Ali, president of Kayetpara Union Awami League, said the construction of the bridge would reduce the suffering of the people of Rupganj. “MP Golam Dastagir Gazi has contributed to the construction of the bridge,” he said.
