Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader Yesterday described the seven-point demand of newly formed Jatiya Oikyafront as ‘seven conspiracies’ to thwart the forthcoming parliamentary election.
“Oikyafront’s seven demands are seven conspiracies to foil the general election,” he told a rally of AL Gazipur city unit at Tongi Government College ground in Gazipur, reports BSS.
Quader said the perpetrators of one-eleven changeover have joined hands with the killers of August 15, 1975 and August 21, 2004 and Tarique Rahman, who is an “internationally recognized terrorist and a fugitive convict in money laundering and grenade attack cases”, to create anarchy centering the parliament election.
Obaidul, also the and Road Transport and Bridges Minister, urged the party leaders and workers to remain alert to resist all conspiracies against the government and the state.
About Barrister Mainul Hosein, a former caretaker government adviser, Quader said he was not arrested as a leader of Oikyafront, rather he was arrested for his derogatory remarks.
The minister described Hosein as a conspirator of one-eleven.
About the next general election, Quader said the party leaders and workers will have to work with unity for those who will get the party tickets for contesting in the election.
Organizational steps will be taken if anyone violates the party commands, he added.
Highlighting development activities of the inducement government, the minister said around 15 crore people, among the total 16 crore, are using mobile phones while 10 crore people are internet users in the country.
