The two-day Convention of NRB Engineers (CONE-2019) begins at Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel in Dhaka on February 26-27.
The convention will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina as chief guest.
The objective of the CONE 2019 is to bring the NRB engineers from across the world and help facilitate their engagement to the development activities in Bangladesh, said Chairman of “Bridge to Bangladesh” Engineer Azadul Haque.
Also convener of the convention, said that the call of the meet “We are for Bangladesh, turning Brain Drain To Brain Gain”.
He also said that, unfortunately our young generation is not adequately enough educated to shoulder that much responsibility. It is a need of the hour for us to have a “brain gain” to reverse the brain drain.
To save money, time and energy to utilize our own capacity is our objective.
The idea was championed by Engr. Ghulam Mohammed Alomgir, Chairman, Max Group; Founder President of BUET Graduates Club; President of Engineers Club, IEB, Jalil Khan, Co-Convener of CONE 2019. Nearly 40 NRB engineers from different countries like the UK, Canada, Singapore, Sweden, Japan, Australia, United Arab Emirates, Philippines, Qatar and South Korea in addition the US will converge on the conference. The conference entitles engineers to presenting selected papers, which will be complied in a journal. Edited by Saleem Samad
