Act 57, the new online media & journalism regulation is deeming one of the basic human rights. Including this act, any other unjustified laws should be excluded & revised, claimed Asian Journalist Charitable Society (AJCS). They arranged for a protesting assembly in front of the Press Club, on Sunday 11am.
At the same, AJCS demanded to remove any charged lawsuit based on these ridiculous laws. They also demanded the release of Daily Jugantor Business Editor Helal Uddin & others.
AJCS President Md. Islam led the assembly & AJCS secretary Jakir Hossain coordinated the event. Including BFUJ General Secretary M. Abdullah, many other prominent journalists & media-person representatives were present at this protest and expressed the urgency regarding this matter in their speeches.
