UNB, Dhaka,

Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) has asked all business establishments to remove illegal billboards from the city by March 31.

It has also urged all to erase pictures and all wall writings at their own initiatives by the time.

The directives were issued through a press note on Monday.

The press note said the authorities have already removed all illegal billboards under the DNCC but it has observed that recently some business establishments have used larger signboards than the ones approved by the city corporation.

It was also warned in the press note that cases will be filed against business establishments, house owners and advertising firms and steps will be taken to stop their ads in media and cut off utility services, including gas, electricity and water, if they fail to obey the directives.

Meanwhile, the city corporation has already filed regular cases against some 42 house owners and agencies on the charge.
