Dr Hasan Mahmud, Publicity and Publication Affairs Secretary of the ruling Awami League, today said the new party constitution of BNP has empowered its chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia to exercise her power as an empress.
“In accordance with the BNP’s new constitution, Begum Khaleda Zia with her authority to exercise exclusive power can dissolve any committee and she can also constitute committee. Autocracy will be established in BNP with such an exclusive power entrusted upon its chairperson,” he said. Dr Hasan Mahmud said this while speaking as the chief guest at a discussion in the city.
Bangabandhu Academy organised the discussion at the auditorium of the Institution of Diploma Engineers at Kakrail in observance of the third death anniversary of former President of the country Md Zillur Rahman.
