New information, food and environment secretaries appointed

The government has appointed three additional secretaries as acting secretaries to the information, food and environment and forests ministries, reports Bdnews24. The public administration ministry also appointed one additional secretary as acting secretary for the post of director general of the National Planning and Development Academy in the order issued on Sunday. Information Ministry Additional Secretary Md Nasir Uddin Ahmed has been appointed acting secretary. The post had been vacant since the expiry of the contract-based appointment of Mortuza Ahmed. Finance Division Additional Secretary Shahabuddin Ahmed has been appointed acting secretary to the food ministry. The term of Food Secretary Md Kaikobad Hossain came to an end a few days ago. Ministry of Environment and Forests Additional Secretary Abdullah Al Mohsin Chowdhury has been appointed the acting secretary of the ministry. He will be replacing Secretary Istiaque Ahmed, whose term ended recently. Local Government Division Additional Secretary Nasreen Akhter has been appointed the director general of the National Planning and Development Academy.
