Overall flood-conditions have improved both in the north & south areas of the country. Hence, there is little no chance of flood reaching near lowlands of Dhaka, confirmed Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre of Water Development Board.
Saturday forecast reports, the flood conditions are gradually getting better both in the north (Kurigram, Jamalpur, Gaibandha, Bagura, Sirajganj) and south (Manikganj, Faridpur, Rajabari, Munsiganj, Sariatpur). Though, few areas in the south may face consistent flooding or might temporarily worsen for short period of time.
Nationwide river point water-height statistic show, height reduced in 51 points & decreased in 36 points. Among these, 28 points’ water flowing over critical height.
Including, Ganga and 5 other rivers by Dhaka, are flowing under the critical water-height. Conditions of the points of Brahmaputra-Jamuna are improving as well. Though some points’ water-height have slightly increased.
