Consensus among the parties during election season is a must to keep the political & social balance, says Former State Advisor Azizul Islam. Regarding the issue that, economic state goes into gutter due to insecure political environment in the country during this time. As per World Bank reports, since 1990 there had been tremendous economic losses around election seasons. Specially, last parliamentary election caused highest downhill steep in the economy.

We need a mental makeover to be reasonable and steady about the election outcomes. We need to get out of ‘Burn, Destroy’ culture every time one loses, said Awami League Add. Gen. Secretary Mahbub-ul Alam. He also added, not only politicians, but also social tolerance needs to be modernized as well.

On the other hand, few experts are solely blaming the politicians. They takes this unstable political condition during the election as opportunity to embezzle black money into their pockets. Hence, results in the economic ill-influence & imbalance, said BASAD Gen. Secretary Khalekuzzaman.
