The government is trying to take over Islami Bank Bangladesh Ltd (IBBL) through corporate influence by appointing particular administrations in their favor. Since, IBBL is the backbone of Jamaat-e-Islami’s in funding, claimed IB Vice-Chairman Syed Ahsanul Alam.

He even added that, 9 of their administrative directors have signed allegiance to his cause and presented logic-report regarding this matter. 3 more directors in abroad, also have confirmed their allegiance with Ahsanul Alam. That, if he is forced to leave, his supporters will resign as well. Last January, there came significance changes in administration board of IB. Additional Secretary Arastoo Khan became the Chairman, Prof. Syed Ahsanul Alam became Vice-Chairman and many other changes. Though, Arastoo Khan always had been denying such accusations by Ahsanul Alam, as mentioned above. He even called for a press-conference to express that Ahsanul Alam’s accusation has no ground, on last Thursday. In reply, Ahsanul Alam called another press-conference on yesterday. In order to officially announce that, Arastoo Khan is spreading propaganda and marked his standing against the government.
