UNB: US Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Donald Lu had a courtesy meeting with Foreign Minister Hasan Mahmud at his office yesterday during which they discussed ways to deepen relations between the two countries.
US Ambassador to Bangladesh Peter Haas, among others, was present. Also on Wednesday, Lu had a meeting with Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Saber Hossain Chowdhury and separately discussed bilateral issues with Foreign Secretary Masud Bin Momen.Lu arrived here on Tuesday (May 14, 2024) to “strengthen bilateral cooperation” and to demonstrate US support for a free, open, and prosperous Indo-Pacific region.
