DOT Desk: Consumers will have to buy Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) at a higher price as the Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) has re-fixed the price of 12kg LPG cylinder at Tk 1,254 from the existing Tk 1,242, with effect from 6:00pm yesterday.
The new price was announced at an online press conference organised by Bangladesh Energy Regula-tory Commission (BERC) on Sunday. As per the announcement, the price of autogas for motor vehicles has been hiked to Tk 58.46 per litre from the earlier price of Tk 57.91. Earlier in June, the price of LPG was decreased by Tk 7.23 per kg.
LPG price was lowest at Tk 1,225 for 12kg in January this year and it witnessed a continuous hike in price in February, March and April.
