Bangladesh Bank’s spokesperson and Executive Director Shuvanker Saha said, “An enlisted lawyer has been assigned to look over the legal matters on the reserve heist.” He said these during a briefing session at yesterday afternoon at the main building staircase.

While answering a question about the ongoing investigation Saha said, “The investigation is ongoing but can’t comment anything about it for the sake of it. But it is progressing fairly.”

Answering about the ban on reporters for the last two days he replied, “For the sake of the investigation and safety we couldn’t entertain the media. The access they had to go to any department was barred. Before that any reporter both electronic and print media could show their verification cards and go to any departments. But the reporters can’t take any cameras with them. They can take cameras with them if they take permission from the spokesperson or any other higher official of the bank. We made the decision on cameras for security concerns.”
