 Due to the coronavirus epidemic, Kumari Puja will not be held in Dhaka on the eighth day of Durga Puja this year. Mandaps across the country will be closed every day during Puja by 9 pm. Bangladesh Puja Udjapan Parishad has given this information.  Council president Milon Kanti Dutta made the remarks at a press conference yesterday (October 18th) morning at the Dhakeshwari National Temple in the capital. He said that, “usually Kumari Puja is held on the eighth day of Ramakrishna Mission in Dhaka. This time there will be no Kumari Puja during this Corona situation. However, it may happen in one or two places outside Dhaka. Preparations for Durga Puja are going on all over the country”.  On the other hand, Nirmal Kumar Chatterjee, general secretary of the council, said that in addition to the 26-point instructions sent across the country, seven more instructions have been sent.
It has been said that the temple or puja mandapa
should be closed for the visitors by 9 pm.
