\Kitchen market in school grounds

A kitchen market has been set up in the ground of AK Pilot Government Secondary School, Amtali, Barguna. Students and teachers think that the environment of education is being destroyed. They demanded to remove this market quickly.
Amtali AK Pilot Government Secondary School is located in Amtali Town. The school has about nine hundred students. A weekly raw market is held every Wednesday in the school grounds. That market goes on all day. This is spoiling the school environment.
The students complained that the classes are being disrupted due to the noise of the buyers and sellers who come to the market during the class. At the end of the market, vendors leave garbage on the school grounds. The environment of the school is being polluted by the rotten stench of that dirt. Students and teachers have demanded to remove this market quickly to bring back the learning environment. Many students including Shubo, Prateek and Kaumudi said that the market should be removed from the school grounds as soon as possible.
Nurul Islam, assistant head teacher of the school, said that the education environment is being disturbed by placing a market in the school grounds. The stench of garbage permeated the classroom. He also said that due to the noise of buyers and sellers, teaching in the class room is being disrupted.
The head teacher (acting) of the school, Bazlur Rahman, said that the education environment is being disrupted due to the establishment of bazaar in the school grounds. Students are not concentrating on teaching. Students are facing various problems due to market running during class time.
He demanded to bring back the education environment by removing this market quickly. He also said that he informed the municipal authorities to remove the market but they are not removing the market.
Amtali Upazila Awami League President Municipal Mayor Matiar Rahman said that the market will be removed from the school ground soon.
Amtali Upazila Executive Officer Muhammad Ashraful Alam said that the municipal mayor and head teacher have been asked to remove the market from the school grounds. They will take action. – Edited by Erfan Alam
