Cell phones are the most distracting things one can come across in today’s world. The constant chirping and the overload of notifications tend to keep us awake late at night. We have forgotten about books and other non technological items used to pasts our time in the past. Now it is all about social media and hourly updates. As our attention span reduces even further our sleep is also being hampered by this small yet powerful devise.

According to the National Cancer Institute and International Agency for Research on Cancer, transmissions from cellular devices are perhaps carcinogenic. The researchers said that the risk is highest when we hold the device close to us. Sleeping with the Wi-Fi on can result in a higher level of radiation to be absorbed by our bodies. It is best to switch off our devices or at least put them on airplane mode before going to bed.
To sleep soundly, without untimely distractions
Most of us are hard working individuals who spend more than half of our day working or attending classes etc. In the midst of this, if we do not get a good night’s sleep, we tend to get cranky the next day. This affects both our work and social lives. It has been found that people who usually browse the internet before going to bed are likely to sleep even later then intended. Thus it is advisable to keep your phone away before you go to sleep. Proper rest is a basic essential that we all deserve and need in our busy lives.
