M Humayun Kabir: Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader yesterday said Jatiya Oikya Prokriya, the new political alliance, will not last long.
He was talking to journalists after inaugurating a hotel in Cox’s Bazar’s Kolatoli area yesterday morning, reports Dhaka Tribune.
“Awami League’s development has frustrated BNP. So, they are saying off-track things which we are not bothering about,” Quader, also Road, Transport and Bridges Minister, said.
Replying to a question, Quader said: “All our rallies have ended successfully and the key to this success has come from the guidance of Bangabandhu’s daughter and country’s leader Sheikh Hasina.”
Hailing the prime minister, he said: “The country has achieved a lot under our leader and for which she has been praised all over the world.”
“Our government has taken a massive initiative to develop the tourism industry in Cox’s Bazar. Marine drive road has been widened; also street lights will be soon set up along the roadsides,” he said.
