[2] Bangladesh national football team captain Jamal Bhuiyan will soon move to Kolkata Mohammedan to play in the Indian I-League, reports odhikar.com. [3] Kolkata Mohammedan football secretary Wasim Akram has confirmed the deal with Jamal Bhuiyan. [4] He said, “Our agreement has been finalized. At first the idea was that we could take him on loan. However, the matter has been resolved between the two parties and it will be finalized in a few days.”
[5] The 2021-22 season of the I-League is scheduled to start from January 7. Kolkata Mohammedan is going to play in I-League after seven years. If they do well this season, they can get a chance to play in the Indian Super League (ISL) next season. This is the main reason why the traditional Kolkata team has included Jamal in the team to increase his strength. [6] This year’s I-League event may start in January and continue till March.
Mohammedan wants Jamal till the last match of I-League.
“We will have a contract with Jamal till the last match of the I-League. There is no problem after that”, said Akram.
