M Humayun Kabir: Home-bound passengers have thronged in thousands at the Kamalapur Railway Station in Dhaka yesterday, the first day of Eid journey, on trains.
While visiting the station, a large number of home-goers were seen waiting in queues in front of platforms to get standing tickets.
Talking to the Daily Star, Sitangshu Chakraborty, station master of Kamalapur Railway Station, said that they will provide maximum 30 percent standing tickets.
A total of 18 trains including two mail trains and two local trains left the station till 11:00am, he said, adding that 41 more were scheduled to leave for the destinations yesterday.
