Using a 3D platform called Sketchfab; researchers have been able to reconstruct the burial site of 15th century English King Richard III. The Kings’ remains were discovered not long ago under as parking lot site in Leicester in the UK. Now to celebrate its first anniversary of the relocation of the body to the Leicester Cathedral, a team of archeologists have constructed a 3D model of the gravesite including his bones. The model shows with how little respect or concern the body must have been placed or rather thrown into the oblong grave. No pomp or ceremony attended this king at his funeral. There was no evidence of a shroud or cape, no jewels or even a sword to point out his position to befit a royal burial.
He was the last English king to die in battle, but his loss might have provoked antipathy amongst his followers which led to his hapless burial condition.
