DOT Desk: [2] The Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) takes the decision to keep students in touch with education via online classes. [3] The government has decided to start audio-visual classes from Tuesday for the students from Class 6 to Class 10 through Sangsad Television, reports Dhaka Tribune.
[4] The Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) took the decision with a view to keeping the students in touch of education as well as to keep them at home amid the outbreak of coronavirus. [5] Professor Md Shahedul Khabir Chowdhury, Director (college and administration) of the DSHE told Dhaka Tribune “Final consultation has been done with Sangsad Television authority. We are going to telecast from Tuesday on a trial basis. If results are satisfactory after three days of trial, we will continue the program until the coronavirus situation comes under control.”
[6] “We will telecast 35 classes every week. We have already began recording classes. The best teachers in the country will deliver their class lectures through television. Currently we are using three studios for recording,” he said.
[7] “Educational institutes have been shut down. The students are in uncertainty. So, to keep the students in touch with education we have decided to take this initiative.” he added. [8] “If we telecast classes student will stay at home, which will help to control the spread of coronavirus,” he furthered. The government shut down all educational institutions, including coaching centers, across the country until March 31 due to the pandemic.
