Tasmiah Nuhiya Ahmed of DOT
[2] Jatiya Party chairman Golam Mohammad Quader said, “The government has failed to control the market price of daily commodities. The big proof of this is the price of potatoes. In a free market economy, there is no profit in fixing the price of goods. Control means ensuring adequate supply of products against demand. Controlling the commodity market is not an issue for the government. But the government is failing to control the market. ‘
[3] Former Commerce Minister Golam Mohammad Quader made the remarks at a meeting and exchange of views organized by the District Jatiya Party at Lalmonirhat District Council Auditorium yesterday (October 22nd) at noon.[4] Criticizing the BNP and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia, the JPA chairman further said, “BNP leader Begum Khaleda Zia has compromised with the government. She has been released on bail but cannot do politics. Tareq Rahman has been sentenced. He also cannot come to the country. Now the people of the country have no alternative but the Jatiya Party.
We will strengthen the Jatiya Party and move forward to implement the program of the late former president and party founder Hussain Muhammad Ershad. ‘
[5] The Deputy Leader of the Opposition in Parliament added, “There are three strong parties in the country in terms of public support. Meanwhile, the condition of BNP is deplorable, leadership is zero. Many people have lost confidence due to Awami League being in power. If people don’t want BNP-Awami League, a golden day is waiting for Jatiya Party as an alternative. We will build the Jatiya Party as a good political party with acceptable leaders and workers”. For this, he wants the cooperation of the people of the country and the media.
[6] Lalmonirhat District Jatiya Party Member Secretary Sekendar Ali presided over the function. Central Jatiya Party Joint Secretary General Mostafa Selim Bengal, District Japa Member Secretary Sekendar Ali, Jatiya Party leader SM Wahiduzzaman Sena and others also spoke.
