UNB: Bangladesh National Football team, now touring South Korea as part of their preparations for the Asian Games in Indonesia, played K-League side Gwangju Football Club of South Korea in the first
practice match on Wednesday at the Mokpo International Training Centre ground.
The match kicked off at 1:30 pm (Bangladesh Time).
Bangladesh made their practices at the match venue on Tuesday afternoon.
Ahead of the Wednesday’s practice match, Head Coach of Bangladesh National Football team Jamie Day said, “We watched their training tonight (Tuesday night). The level playing in Korea is very high… it’ll be a very tough game and they’ll be a very good opposition.”
“We’re working hard for the last few days on the fitness of our boys. So it’ll be time to see how they perform against a K-League side,” he said.
The coach further said, “I’m not concerned about the result at the moment. I know it’ll be a really tough match. So what will be pleasing for me is if our shape and fitness has improved since the last game.”
