Foodeatsafe: 1. Lemon Water
Making lemon water from a fresh lemon and warm water is a favorite for weight loss and detoxification. Add a bit of cayenne pepper for a real kick. Cayenne may help you “burn” off fat. Lemon juice may make your body more acidic and increase your metabolism.
2. Lemon Juice in Aloe Vera Water
Aloe vera has excellent antioxidant properties that may boost your metabolism and remove toxins. Aloe is fairly healthy, although there are some contraindications. Peel a fresh aloe vera leaf and scoop out the gel. Grind with a bit of water and add a tablespoon of lemon.
3. Cinnamon Water
Cinnamon is a popular spice and contains a lot of anti-oxidants. It appears to have some amazing side effects including anti-inflammatory properties, decrease in bad cholesterol and triglycerides, and improve blood sugar levels. Add 120 mg to a cup of hot water and mix well.
4. Green Tea
Enjoy a cup of green tea with a teaspoon of honey on an empty stomach. Green tea seems to boost metabolism and offers anti-oxidants. The touch of honey also contains anti-oxidants and may help burn fat. Add a bit of lemon juice for extra benefits.
5. Wheat Grass
If you grow wheat grass, blend a few stalks in half a glass of water, strain it, add a few drops of lemon. It may help you lose weight.
6. Oatmeal Water
Boil some oats in water or make very watery oatmeal and drink or eat it. There is evidence that oatmeal helps with blood chemistry and may have some slimming properties. The extra water won’t hurt either.
7. Vegetable Juice
If you can juice your own carrot, cucumber, and/or celery, you can make a very healthy empty stomach drink. You’ll feel full, get easily accessed nutrients with low calorie content, and drink a full glass of water.
8. Apple Cider Vinegar & Baking Soda
Approach this one with some skepticism. While apple cider vinegar has some excellent health benefits, too much baking soda can be hard on your body.

Plus, remember making baking soda volcanos? You are ingesting the basic components of that volcano. The next few foods are good on an empty stomach or as a follow up breakfast.
