[2] A new chapter is set to begin for Bangladeshis in US politics and administration with the victory of the mayor of Millbourne Borough, adjacent to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This is because, the two candidates of the Democratic Party who are running for the post of mayor (primary) in the election of party candidates on May 16 are both Bangladeshi Americans, reports Bangladesh Pratidin.
[4] The two candidates are Md Nurul Hasan and Mahabubul Tayyab. Nurul Hasan is currently the Vice President of the Millbourne Borough. The other is the councilman of the city. Both of them are from Chittagong and the good relations between them are long lasting.

[5]Md. Nurul Hasan has served in various capacities in the Bangladesh Society of Pennsylvania for the last 15 years. He is currently the General Secretary. He is also the Chief Executive Officer of People n Tech’s Philadelphia Campus, reports Bangi News.
