Long awaited final-verdict’s certificate copy was submitted to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University. Still 8 days have passed, 140 doctors yet to be reappointed. These doctors complained, the hospital authorities are violating the high court order.
Doctors appealed against the banning of their appointment. Later, 5 membered bench of Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha ordered the hospital authority to keep the doctors in their posts, on 21 May.
Though, the former high-court verdict kept them from receiving their payments since March 2016. Unfortunately, they will also not receive any of that payment upon rejoining & it will be counted as non-paid leave.
Still, BSMMU demanded the doctors to show the verdict certificate copy before reappointing them. Hence, the doctors were eagerly waiting for it for a long time. Finally, the certificate copy reached them on 10 August and they submitted it to the authority right away. But, the authority has not replied to them yet.
BSMMU Vice Chancellor Dr. Kamrul Hasan Khan have told to the media that, since it’s a high-court order. Therefore, there is no way for them to neglect it. They are working on the rejoining processing of those doctors.
